How we work
A connected process from strategy to measurable growth.
Successful digital marketing is rarely one tactic. We start by understanding the business, identify the channels that matter, build the right foundation, connect the execution and measure what happens.
The five steps
Discover, strategize, build, optimize, grow.
The same five steps apply whether we are working on one channel or several. What changes is the scope inside each one.
Discover
Understand what exists today
Before recommending anything, we look at the business itself and at what is already in place.
- Business
- Customers
- Goals
- Website
- Search visibility
- Google Business Profile where relevant
- Advertising
- Social presence
- Analytics and tracking
- Competitors
We review accounts, profiles and data only where you have granted us access. Nothing is assumed and nothing is touched before that.
Strategize
Decide what matters, and in what order
A plan is only useful if it is specific about sequence. This is where we agree what comes first and what waits.
- Priority channels
- Sequence
- Customer journey
- Conversion goals
- Measurement requirements
- What should not be prioritized yet
Part of this step is recommending against work. If a channel is not going to help you yet, we would rather say so than sell it.
Build
Put the right foundation in place
What gets built depends on the engagement and on what the strategy actually calls for.
- Website / landing pages
- SEO foundations
- Local SEO improvements
- Google Ads
- Social presence
- Content
- Analytics and conversion tracking
This is a menu, not a package. Not every business needs every item here, and we do not include work simply to make an engagement look bigger.
Optimize
Improve against real performance data
Once the work is live and producing data, the job shifts from building to improving.
- Landing pages
- SEO content
- Advertising
- Local visibility
- Social content
- Conversion paths
- Tracking
Changes are made because the data supports them, not because something needs to look busy in a monthly report.
Grow
Invest where performance is demonstrated
Where a channel shows useful performance, we increase effort there. Where it does not, we say so and look at why rather than letting it run quietly in the background.
- Scale what performs
- Re-examine what does not
- Keep measurement honest
We do not attach growth percentages to this. What a channel can do depends on your market, your offer and your starting point.
Straight answers
What we won’t promise.
Some of what gets promised in this industry cannot be delivered by anyone. Here is what you will not hear from us.
Guaranteed #1 Google rankings
Overnight SEO results
Made-up ROI projections
Vanity metrics presented as business success
Marketing services a client does not need
Performance claims we cannot substantiate
We would rather set realistic expectations before an engagement than explain unrealistic promises afterward.
Ownership
Your accounts should remain yours.
Advertising accounts, analytics properties and business profiles are business assets. They hold your spend history, your data and your reviews, and they belong under your ownership rather than an agency’s.
Where a new account has to be created, we set it up under your ownership wherever the platform allows it, and ask to be added as a user with the access needed to do the work. If we stop working together, the accounts, the data and the history stay where they are.
Assets that stay with you
- Google Ads account
- Google Analytics property
- Google Search Console
- Google Business Profile
- Social media accounts
- Website and domain
- Ad creative and content
Access requirements differ by platform. We will tell you exactly what access we need and why before asking for any of it.
Not sure where you’re starting?
A free website and SEO audit is usually the quickest way to find out. If you would rather talk it through first, that works too.
